Roxanne Gaylord, Co-Minister of Music and Administrative Assistant
Roxanne holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Northern Iowa and also
pursued graduate studies in music at Arizona State University. She teaches piano
privately and has played the French Horn in various regional ensembles. She is the
former director of music at Centenary United Methodist Church in Bath and at
Tyrone United Methodist Church. Roxanne shares in the leadership of St. Thomas
Choir, collaborates in worship planning, and coordinates our children's music
programs, conducting the Children's Chime and Singing Choirs.

Dr. Carl Johengen, Co-Minister of Music
Carl holds a doctorate in voice performance from the Eastman School of Music as
well as degrees in choral conducting and voice from Ithaca College. He is the
former Director of Music for the R.C. Diocese of Syracuse, and is a published
composer of sacred music. Carl shares in the leadership of St. Thomas' Choir,
collaborates in worship planning, and directs the St. Thomas’ Community Ringers.
He is also serving as St. Thomas' webmaster. In addition to his work at St. Thomas,
Carl is Assistant Professor at the Ithaca College School of Music, and teaches
voice privately.

The Very Rev. J. Brad Benson, Rector
Fr. Benson is a 2001 graduate of Bexley Hall Seminary in Rochester. His "first career"
was in college administration, working in a variety of positions at Syracuse University. A
native of Wyoming, Fr. Benson was raised in the Presbyterian Church. He was first drawn
to the Episcopal Church during his undergraduate years, while serving as the organist at
St. Matthew's Cathedral in Laramie, WY. He was installed as Rector of St. Thomas' on
May 21, 2005. His passions include preaching, evangelism, and church development. Fr.
Brad
currently serves as Dean of the Southeast District of the Diocese of Rochester.

Todd Edwards, Sexton
Todd has served St. Thomas' as sexton since 2007.
Those who have been in the building recently will
recognize the pride and dedication Todd brings to his
care of our buildings. Todd also works for the ARC of
Steuben County.
Sharon Nurse, Deacon, was ordained a deacon in the Episcopal Church in March
2008. She is a long-time parishioner at St. Thomas and is assigned to the parish
now as its deacon. She assists with liturgies and pastoral care. Sharon was also
married at St. Thomas in the summer of 2008. She has three grown children.
Michele Brewer, Nursery Caregiver
Michele has several years of experience and works
full-time as a professional childcare provider at the Bath
Community Day Care Center.  Michele joined the staff in
2008 and is already a wonderful addition to the church
family. Nursery care is provided every Sunday of the year.
