Land Acknowledgment

St. Thomas' Episcopal Church is located on the traditional homelands of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy—an alliance of six sovereign nations with a historical and contemporary presence on this land. The confederacy precedes the establishment of this parish, the Village of Bath, the State of New York, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Haudenosaunee dispossession and honor the ongoing connection of Haudenosaunee people, past and present, to these lands and waters.
